Volunteer Story

2023 is my first year with the Scrappers. My dad went to his first World Series with the Scrappers, and my mom spotted a few times long ago, and Kevin Barrett reached out to me this year to see if I would be interested in pitching.

I’ve been around the sport of beepball my entire life going to my first World Series at 3.5 months old. I got my start volunteering as a catcher for the Wichita Sonics in 2014 at 12 years old. I was a catcher for many years with many teams mainly following where my dad played. The New Jersey Titans in 2016, The Bayou City Heat in 2017 & 2018, and the Philadelphia Fire in 2019.

I got my start pitching with the Chicago Comets in the 2020 Hitters and Heroes tourney in Indianapolis. I then continued pitching and started spotting for the USA Legends in 2021. In 2022 I returned to the Bayou City Heat as a full time spotter. Then in 2023 I was recruited to be the starting pitcher for the Cleveland Scrappers in 2 tournaments and the World Series and am excited and ready to prove I have what it takes.

Outside of Beepball, I am a full time student going into my senior year at The Ohio State University. I am planning to graduate in May of 2024. I am also on the Ohio State roller hockey team and manage our social media. After college I plan on pursuing a career in Federal Law Enforcement and eventually hope to become an Air Marshal.
